WELCOME TO DAVID COOTE'S BLOG

JUNE 18, 2009

Migrating to Australia requires long-term planning. While 2009 might not be the best time to move to Australia or anywhere else, remember that an application lodged right now (June 2009) for Skilled Migration to Australia is unlikely to get a visa until at least June 2011. When the economic circumstances should be quite different, i.e., better!

And just because you get a visa does not mean you have to move then either. If you visit Australia to activate the visa, then you can go back to where you currently live and work for two years before it puts your visa at risk. So you might not need to move here finally until 2013!
But get in the queue now, before the rules change AGAIN!

When Cupid called on Merry from one of the Pacific Islands and her Australian Citizen husband Justin, separation was unthinkable and she overstayed her visa – by years!. Dreading the knock on the door and the swift trip to Villawood and out of Australia, they brought their fears to The Australian Immigration Place. David Coote and his team worked on their case immediately. Outcome ? Even though Merry had to leave (she could not stay in Australia), she is now back with Justin
